  1. I have an old JVC Camcorder and was wondering if there was some kind of VHS-c tape that was an adaptor for an SD card or something similar like a USB VHS-c player. If not, is there a simple way of converting my VHS-c tapes to digital without lots of adaptors, wires and time? From what I've heard, converting tapes to digital is just recording the tapes through a pc and that takes 30-45 mins a tape!!!

no and you heard wrong. vhs-c is analog and you will need an analog to digital converter.

the a to d conversion happens in real time as you play the tape into the a/d converter.

VHS is captured in real time. If the tape is 1 hour, then it will take 1 hour to capture.

Yes, pay someone to do it for you.

For good results, you need a lot of good hardware and experience.
Otherwise you'll just butcher your memories.
    VHS-C tapes as very fragile.
VCRs love to "eat" them because of how crappy they're made.

This is one format where it's always wise to seek out a service using an AG-1980 and a JVC metal adapter.
With S-VHS-C cams as backup players.
Anybody that says otherwise is a fool and/or liar. I've seen far too many damaged VHS-C tapes.
    Heed my warning.
