i captured a 16:9 movie from tv, which resulted in a stretched 4:3 movie. i understand that, so no problem yet.
i converted it to mpeg with tmpegenc as 16:9. when i load it in dvdlab it says 16:9 so that seems to work.
but... when i put it in my dvd player it shows full screen while it should be letterboxed (i don't have a widescreen tv).
my player is set to pan & scan what always works for retail widescreen dvds.
i tried various poject properties (pan & scan, automatic, widescreen menu), but that didn't seem to work...
i'm now converting the movie to letterbox, but as you in fact lose quality then i'd like to keep it widescreen. (i might buy a widescreen tv in the future, you'll never know.)
