I have been able to back stuff up with my 2x writer that came with my dell, however I just upgraded and bought myself a new pioneer 8x write a07xla burner. I've been able to burn things , but since I changed drives to my new drive, i can't get anything to burn, when it burns it comes up with an error and screws up a dvdr, I need help, I can't seem to figure out what my problem is. with dvdxcopy it says burn was sucessful but when the backup is play nothing, when i go to explore the burnt dvd it reads it as a cd. when using dvdshrink it comes up with the error log..

use -r. you are using an incompatible format. Your drive is -r and you are trying to use +r. Also I would update nero. There have been alot of bugfixes and improvements.
-
My drive says it can use + or - is this really my problem? I'll try upgrading nero for now though. so if i use a wrong dvdr it will still burn but will not paly is this correct?
-
the message said it was only -r. You might want tp upgrade your firmware as well.
