I still have my old copy of dvd xpress (which I know isnt around anylonger) and I just tried to use it to back up an old movie I have. I went to put it in and use it and the statement "cannot write archive txt" appeared. I have never seen this before but then again I havent used this software for ages. I dont know if it can be fixed but if you have any ideas I would really appreciate them. Im not computer savy so be kind.

Was that a version you already had installed? If so, you might have to re-install it as it sounds like it may be looking for a folder or directory you don't have any more.

Or if it's a older movie, you might try DVDShrink instead.

    And welcome to our forums.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled and realized that the destination folder path that was listed from before was no longer there, so i created a new destination folder and it worked just fine.
Thanks so much, if it wasnt for your suggestion that it may be searching for a path or folder I never would have gotten it to work. This truly is a great site, especially for us girls.

    thanks again.
