give ac3 5.1 more bass

Hello,

i have convert an ac3 2.0 to ac3 5.1
when i play the movie on an dvd player with DD
the bass is a little low other sound quality is good,

i have convert it with AC3Machinev0.41
i have tried allot of other settings
but no resoltating. allot of chearcing on the web
doom9 en here i can find allot but not my problem

can some one help me out

ac3 2.0 has no LFE channel and 5.1 does ... since there was no advantage converting 2.0 to 5.1 except quality loss, you shouldnt complain to much ..

you could remix the 2.0 and create a lfe channel by using a bandpass filter and set this level to where you want and then re-encode to 5.1 and remember to switch on LFE

well since that is not a proper application for encoding ac3 , and as mentioned , converting from 2ch to 5.1 is gaining you nothing .. i can't help much .. some others here will know the correct settings ..

to do it properly though -- you will need to remix the audio ..
