[b]Sony DRU-510a[/b] - weirdness with dvd+r

I've got no problems burning dvd-r discs but after 3-4 successful dvd+r's, I've made 6 consecutive coasters with dvd+r. The brand was "Dynex" from Best Buy.

I"ve updated the firmware to 1.0F, re-installed the Recordnow stuff and updated to Sonic's version 6.7+. Still same result. The dvd+r's are recognized and the burn goes thru to success but I cannot read them afterwards in either the 510a or other dvd-rom drives. If it does read then I get CRC errors. The burn is set to close as a single burn.

Seems like Sony's dvd writers are a bit "touchy". Could the 510a just start disliking this brand of dvd+r's????? Suggestions?

i've been using sony 510a for 8 months but haven't had any problem at all.

used different media and burned a lot of them and some more, and everything worked fine.

don't know why other people are having so much problem w/ it.

I have had mine since September with very few problems, though it can get very picky about media. It hated TDK 2x and Verbatim 1x DVD-R discs.
