    Just got this, popped in my old mp3 backup dvd and it doesn't even recognize the disc. I burned it w/ roxio on a memorex 2.4x So, I popped in xmen and it works. I went to back up NEMO tonight and it won't even play the stupid thing in media player, sonic, realplayer, nothing. It recognizes the dvd and shows the name but WILL NOT play. What gives?
    I also just tried installing the brand new nero and it doesn't even let me choos to use it w/ a dvd, only cds

    Windows XP PRO
    XP2500, etc, etc

    Cendyne read laser could be going bad. Burn laser maybe still okay,

    I hope it's not going bad, it's now three days old I suspect something else, although I have no clues as to what. It plays xmen and some others fine...
