  1. Right I have 2 xvid avi files that I want to join together, the 2nd file originally had an audio-sync problem on it so I ran a sync fix on it which corrected that but now when it comes to joining them in nandub I click on append avi segment to open the second avi and i get the following error

"cannot append segment: The video streams have different sampling rates (23.97500 vs. 23.97622)"

How can I join these 2 files together now without getting this issue, if anyone can help it would be great

  2. You must have the same sampling rates

to do this you must reencode both (one at a time ) files with the same frame rate.

You might can use AVIFrate, havent tried it

    hope this helps

  3. If both of these files are going to go on one dvd, why don't you just convert each one independently at 1/2 dvd and then author with something like tmpgenc dvd author, you will not notice the change in files.
    If it's wet, drink it

  4. Cheers guys, I have a xvid dvd player so I just like joining the 2 files together instead of reselecting the second file half way through!

Just change the framerate to 23.976 with virtualdub on direct stream copy for video and audio for both files and then join the saved files.
