  1. Hello all,

I have an occasional problem after ripping one of my films using DVD Decrypter and trying to open it in DVD Shrink I get an error during the initial anlysis. Something about missing a non existent .VOB file...

I've found some info regarding this that points to a possible problem with my Pioneer 120S DVD player. Someone seems to have been able to correct the issue by using IFO Edit - something about stripping streams.

I do have a copy of IFO Edit installed, but I have no idea how to use any of the features.

Could someone please help me understand what this "strip streams" feature is all about? Maybe this will solve the problem I've been having.

    Thanks!

  2. Have you tried ripping it with DVD Shrink, instead of DVD Decrypter ?
Also what version of DVD Shrink are you using ?
and is this an original DVD or a copy ?

  3. I'm using DVD Shrink 3.1 - but the problem seems to happen with 3.0 beta 5 and 2.3 as well... I've ripped with DVD Shrink in the past and about 75% of the movies won't play in my DVD player, so I've been using Decrypter only.

    Try the latest version.

Fixed bug which caused occasional skipping/freezing of output
DVD during playback on some players.

  5. Sounds lovely - I'll give it a try and maybe I can use it for ripping from now on...

But what about these files I have on my drive now that won't open? Any advice for modifying them in IFOEdit so they can be opened in Shrink? They won't open in the new version (3.1.6) either.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you ripped the main movie only, rip in file mode and select all files. Good luck.
