    Hi,
    I am trying to back-up a movie.
I have finally been able to rip-it but now whenever I try to shrink it using DVD Shrink 3.2 I keep running into some problems.
The first being I cant get it to shrink enough to fit on a single layer...the file size is 7.47 GB and DVD Shrink is only allowing me to shrink it to about 5.25 GB?

No big deal I was just going to shrink it to the 5.25 GB size then run it through again to fit on a single layer disk...but every time I try to shrink the movie I keep getting an error that reads...

"DVD Shrink Encountered an Error and Cannot Continue
    Programming Error - Exception Occurred
    The Handle is Invalid"

This error message pops up each time at varying intervals during each try at shrinking.

The movie is Transformers Revenge of the Fallen
I was finally able to get it ripped using DVDFab's new Betta version 6.2.2.0

Any help would be greatly Appreciated
    Thank You

After you ripped it try use FixVTS on the video_ts folders. Then use dvd shrink.

LCE - have you been asleep since you joined 3 years ago? Seriously. We talk about this all the time. Where have you been? Frankly, it gets tiresome to have to say this over and over again. You should already know about this.

DVD Shrink hasn't been updated in years. YEARS!!! Region 1 (you live in region 1) DVDs may use a type of disc copy protection that DVD Shrink cannot deal with. That is probably what is causing your error. Use another ripper like DVDFab HD Decrypter or AnyDVD and then after you have ripped try to use DVD Shrink. Assuming that you ripped the disc fully, Baldrick's suggestion may also work, but don't be surprised if future rips with DVD Shrink simply fail to complete when faced with this type of copy protection.

    @jman98
I think the poster said that it was ripped with DVDFab and also that the problem was shrinking the movie.
Baldrick's response was to the point.

    Hi Baldrick,
I have run FixVTS on the Video TS Folders...I do on every rip. Still no luck.

    jman98,
I very seldom am able to get on here.
I can understand it getting to you hearing the same question over and over but if you reread my post you will see that I am not using shrink to rip but am using DVDFab.
    Thanks for the input though.

    Thanks Guys

    Thanks freebird73717,
I downloaded a DVDRebuilder and gave it a try yesterday.
It took about 10 fours and 45 minutes and created a file of 4.02 GB.
It was to late for me to look the output file over to see if it worked out or not...I will check it later today and report back.

    Thanks sambat,
I have been through those pages before without any luck.

I'll let you all know if DVDRebuilder got it or not
