    Hey All,

I was just finishing a project in Adobe Encore. In it's output of it's creation of my a_ts and v_ts dir's, it says it's compatability is good for "Pc Based Software DVD Players"

Is there anywhere that nayone may know of where I need to adjust it to Stand-Alone or Set Top Players ? Or should this even matter ?

As always thank you very much for all your help

On the ADOBE FORUM they say thats a BOGUS CHECK MARK BOX

SETTOP COMPATIBILITY is ensured by standard DVD architecture

this is the forum where Ruud Blaw had a comment on that box that I can't find any more

Thank you very much dcsos I had thought the same, but was unsure obviously.

I thought there'd be no way for a stand alone to "need" a different type of structure in the a/v_ts dir's.

Before i burned out a bunch of copies of this I wanted to try to get some of it clarified.

Unfortuantely the link only gets me to a login, but if you say it's bogus, and notto worry of, then all is cool

    Thanks !!!!

Well technically your set-top isn't going to read the _TS folders as they are, they still need to be burned to disc

Tho' Spidey, the forums are full of NAY SAYERS to the ABOBE BURN ENGINE

the experts seeem to prefer building to HARRDDISK and then using the THIRD PARTY APP that knows your burner best to do the rest of the job!
they say the burn engine is quirky, expecially on MULTIPLE burns..(like it errors when you burn more than one, on the second disc)

Yeah, I use DVD Decrypter for one-off discs and Nero for burns to all of my burners at once when there is call for it. The former tends to give me more compatable burns, though most newer prog. scan players can play most anything, especially the region free ones.
