  1. Does anybody know why I get a green video screen (audio is ok) when I convert from avi to VCD (mpeg1)? It only does this on some of my avi files.. others are ok. BTW, I am using Canopus ProCoder 1.5.

The files in question wouldn't be Xvid would they?

I'd bet they are! In that case, use ffdshow - solved all XviD blues (greens?) for me...

  4. you are right... I installed it and everything works great.... It's weird because the original avi played back no problem before I installed the codec. Once I installed it, I could encode the file no problem.

    Thanks

You may have 3ivx installed which can decode Xvid. Anyhow, glad you got things going.

    played back no problem
...is by no means any indication of that a successful reencoding is possible!
