  1. I get a green screen when loading an avi into TMPGEnc.

    The same video gives a black screen when loaded into VirtualDub-1.8.6

    The video plays OK in Media player.

    My end goal is to use the video in TMPGEnc.

    Attached below is the specs on the video file according to MediaInfo.

  2. install ffshow and enable h.264/avc in the vfw configuration (yellow icon)

  3. OK, I downloaded ffdshow Tryouts since they said that was the more current version... And it worked!

    Question, I did not try to set the enable h.264/avc in vfw configuration... will that cause a quality problem by not having set it?? I tried to see how to get to the ffdshow Tryout conf screen again but even when I reinstall it does not show up again. Hmmm.

    No need to reinstall, there are shortcuts to the config programs from the FFDSHOW prorgam group.
