  1. Argh, I'm going crazy here! All my backups are skipping, and it's starting to drive me nuts. I've tried different media with no success - both Ritek G03 and DupEZ, and neither works with any real success. I'm ripping with DVD Decrypter, compressing with either DVD Shrink or DVD2One, burning with Record Now MAX, and playing on a Samsung P401. I'm ripping at max speed, and burning at 1x on the DupeEZ, and at 2x on the Ritek, since that's supported with the Toshiba 5002, my burner.
Now that all the info is out of the way, what can I do different, how can I avoid this REALLY irritating problem. I'm tired of watching a lot of my movies on reverse cause the movie just jumped 2-3 minutes ahead. Please, somebody help me out here - is it my disks, my player, my burner, WHAT???? I'm pulling my hair out here fellas, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm...good media, low speeds...my guess would be that your DVD player simply doesn't like to play burned media (many early players weren't too good at it). What is your DVD player model?

  3. It's a Samsung P401. I've included 2 links, if that helps. If it is indeed the player, what is a good (inexpensive) alternative? I've read here that Apex makes reliable inexpensive players that seem to play almost everything.
    Thanks for your help.

    Links for standalone player....
