Hi,
I've tried converting avi files into dvd with both tmpgenc and winavi. But the audio always comes out very low during the actors speaking. The music is loud, but not the voice. Also there is air noise in the back ground. It's not like that on my pc though, so it's not the original file that's causing it. I've tried increasing the voice on the ac3 filter, which made the voice louder and sounded great, but that caused massive out of sync problems. So I reselected "use orginal audio", which takes me back to the low voice problem. Can someone who knows exactly how tofix this, please help me?
Chris

If the source is AC3 then WinAVI should not touch it, but use it as is. If it can't then there is just another reason to throw it out. ConvertXtoDVD or FAVC will keep the original AC3 source without altering it.

Is there a way to boost a very quiet source? Because some of the movies I download have low volume voice and some have high.

Not without re-encoding. ConvertXtoDVD has a setting to allow you to adjust the volume. Me ? I just use the remote for my amp.

I would use the volume control on the TV, But that would make the sound far too loud. You see the music is fine, it's only the voice that's low and when I turn it up during voice only it's good, but then when the music comes out it kills my ears with high frequency
