How to back up a double sided dvd to 1 dvd+r?

I'm trying to back up the movie Goodfellas and its a double sided disc and was wondering how I go about getting just the movie to fit on one dvd+r without the extras any help would be great TIA!!!

If you still want to combine both sides to one there are many ways to do this. Perhaps one of the easiest is with DVDShrink. Do a search under guides (to the Left). You should be able to find what you're looking for.

DVD2one v1.30 or greater. use seamless join feature. burn ro dvdrw and view result before committing to dvdr.
