Hi!
I am trying to fix an Xvid-file, I use VirtualDubMod and scan the file for bad frames, that works.
But if I try to delete hte frames I`ll get this error report: "An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'xvid'...
...while decompressing video frame 5886 with "XviD MPEG-4 Codec" [biCompression=44495658] (VideoSource.cpp:1823)."
How can I delete the bad frames when this program is unable to do it?
Thankz for any help!

If the program crashes then make note of the exact frame number as reported by Vdub. Use "go to" under "Edit" to move the slider and mark and delete around the bad spot, you can then save a copy without that section be sure to select "direct stream copy" under audio and video. For instructions on marking and deleting with Vdud check the "Edit" section over there <-<-<-.
Hope that's clear enough, good luck."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -
Thanx!
I have a different problem now, it`s and Xvid file with a VBR audio part, I have saved the audio as wav and converted it into a mp2-file and used it to make a SVCD, but still the audio is out of sync, but now it comes to earli, any tips about this?
Newer had this problem before, it has always worked when I converted the audio!
Gracias...We came, we saw, we kicked his ass! -
If it's out by a fixed amount then I can tell you how to fix it using Vdub.
If it gets worse as the movie goes along then that's more difficult.

To fix audio sync problems with vitualdub that just needs delay adjustment goto audio/full processing and interleaving and skew correction and input the amount you need to delay or place it a bit further and save as with video selected as direct stream copy, you can see how much time you need by the voice to lips delay in the video near the end and roughly calculate.

Make your adjustments until it's perfect then you set your audio and video to "direct stream copy" and save avi. Instead of saving you can frameserve the video and audio directly to your encoder, there's a Vdub frameserve guide in the "Edit" section.
