ULEAD Movie Factory 2 and widescreen

When I put my video into Ulead to author the widescreen is smushed (or cut off edges) into a regular TV dimensions. How do I make it stay as a widescreen video?

Check the do not convert compliant MPEG files check box
Also check aspect ratio setting in your playback software/device

okay, did that.... but it cuts off the edges... id like to retain the to and bottom bars. I see a keep aspect ration box, but i cannot select it.

Don't bother with what you see in ULead-afterencoding it should play correctly. Create the DVD files on PC and check with a software player before burning.

Checked with software and it wasnt wide screen

Anyone out there familiar enough with the program to help me?

My version says SE

I do not think that this is limiting my widescreen capabilities though.

any ideas yet?
