  3. You could do that if you burnt it as a DVD-ROM, with the VIDEO_TS folders in seperate sub-folders, but it would not be recognised as a DVD-Video by any DVD player.

use re-authour in DVD Shrink. U can rip using something like DVD Decryptor and put one disk of the movie on the hard drive and then open the other disk, re-authour and put the two movie/video files as a new project and backup. I actually used two DVD readers to do it and put the new compiled backup to hard drive only. I then use CloneDVD on the backup to re-code and burn. U can aslo use DVD Shrink to re-code the new backup so it can fit 1 DVD-R and burn with something like Nero. I was able to put the 2 disks LOTR extended edition movies on 1 dvd+r for each movie. U'll loose the menus but then something has to be given up. BTW just remember to put the movies in their correct order when u re-authouring.

If u are trying to put 2 diff movies, then the above method may not be the best since their will be no intermission when the 1st disk ends and the start of the next disk. The backup file is only seen as 2 seperate files and are played one after the other. No stop, just a slight pause simular to a layer change on a DVD9 disk.
