  1. Hi there

I've had loads of problems with getting my DVD's to play on most home DVD players. I was using Nero 6, but because of previous advise I have scrapped Nero and I now have RecordNow v4.5.

I have created the DVD video files using Pinnacle Studio 8, which I also used to edit the movies.

How do I burn a DVD video using RecordNow? There doesn't appear to be an option to create a DVD Video, only Video CD.

Also, have you got any other tips on getting my DVD's to play on most home players?

    Many thanks

  2. You select "Data Disc" in RecordNow Max. So put all the DVD files created by Studio8 (I'm surprised you got that far in that program) into a VIDEO_TS folder then burn that folder. Also be sure in options to select the discs option that closes or finalizes the discs otherwise it may not play in stand alone players.

  3. Thanks very much, Bob W.

I did indeed have a lot of problems trying to get Studio 8 to create the files. I find it a great program for editing but rendering etc is useless.

While I'm here, what would you recommend as an alternative to Studio 8?

    Thanks

  4. For simple editing I use neoDVD Plus or Ulead MovieFactory2. Most people here use TMPGEnc DVD (I think that's it).

  6. wow... you better make sure you have "2" folders in there

    VIDEO_TS
    AUDIO_TS

there is nothing in the AUDIO_TS folder but some DVD players will not play the DVD without them, and make sure its all in CAPS, I had a friend that make coaster after coaster and finally relized he forgot to CAP the TS file folders.
If possible try to upgrade to recordnow DX 4.6, it might be free with 4.5, mine was.
