I am using windows movie maker, and I have captured my audio and video from a camcorder. When I go to my videos where the captured file is saved, the length of the clip is 84 minutes. Yet when I open Windows movie maker and import the clip, I get three segments which all add up to only 11 minutes. So why can I import the clip completely

have you tried deselect the "create clips for video files" when you import/open the video file?

I did the deselect video clips when I imported the movie, but the whole clip is not imported, only the first 2 minutes of a 30 minute movie. When I go to the folder on the hard disk, the entire 30 min clip is present and I cAN VIEW IT WITH VLC PLAYER AND windows media player.
At one point I deleted the 30 minute clip, and then redownloaded it from the camera using windows movie maker. But same result, the entire 30 minute clip is recorded on the hard drive but only the first 2 minutes shows up in windows movie maker.
Whats going on
