    After reading the last post I had a look at that program WOMBLE DVD2VCR and tried to covert a VOB to a mpeg 1. Things went ok except there was no sound. The sound is there with playing mpeg's but not VOB's. any suggestions?

    Fixed it now. I downloaded a later version.
