A while back, I found that I couldn't encode my iuVCR captured files directly. One post that I can't find anymore mentioned that iuVCR couldn't by definition save a file with a constant frame rate (29.97 in my case) and that caused problems.
My workaround was to pull the file into Vegas, and re-save it as an AVI file which I could then encode. An extra step, but it took care of the problem.
A brief email exchange with Ivan (not sure if he has anyone else respond to the emails) cleared this up...unchecking "Master Stream" on the options tab tells iuVCR not to alter the frame rate.
I'm not sure what the master stream is or why the frame rate would change (or be allowed to change), but sure enough, when I unchecked this and encoded a short test capture, it worked fine.
I'm not sure if others already knew this so I thought I'd pass it along just in case...!![]()
