Hello,
I started using EO-Video the other day and ever since my AVI and MPEG files play back in Black an White., including those that haven't been encoded by EO-Video.
I have tried several different video players (Windows Media Player, WinDVD, RealPlayer, QuickTime Player, Winamp 2.91, Winamp 5 Beta 2, ATI Multimedia Center 7, etc.) and have yet to get any colors. I have un-installed EO-Video, reinstalled all of the mentioned players, and reinstalled ALL the video codecs with no change in video quality.
I don't have any idea why this is causing trouble. The AVI and MPEG files are in color, and when viewed on other computers show perfectly. Even DVDs play in Black and White. Other then these files everything else is in color; games, visualizations, websites, and still pictures show fine.
On another forum I was suggested to use the program GSpot to find the problem codecs. After running it with one of the AVI files I have. It did show the codecs being used, but I cannot determine how to fix my problem from this. In the video codec box it shows that I need 4CC: DX50/DIVX Named: DivX 5.0, but I just reinstalled this before running GSpot. GSpot also states that I have 2 compatable codecs for this, but the 2 are exactly the same. I don't know if this could this be my problem?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Jonathan
