hello all. been having a bit of trouble trying to get the above going.

basically i wanted to rip the japanese 'making of' 40min documentary off of the extra disk of Spirited Away anime dvd. i would like to put only the video extras from dvd disk 1 and 2 onto a single (s)vcd to be able to show at work. it was easy enough to rip the dvd to HD using dvddecrypt. i was able to identify the english featurette vob and run it thru tmpg and convert the audio and video into and svcd format the nero could burn. BUT, the japanese version is more difficult.

this featurette is diveded into 2 vobs, the second of which also contains some other extras in the form of international commercials which are not part of the featurette and also has subs which i wanted to keep (can tmpg convert using subs??). anyways i went with using dvd2svcd w/cce, followed doom's guide, made sure i had everything set up as outlined, able to speicify the start and end points from the 2vobs to fserve, speicify audio and subs, hit "GO" and it craps out midway thru the conversion. at a certain point the message "cannot create d:\...\dvd2svcd\movie\dvd2avi_project_file.d2v". then goes on to cce and reports: "framerate 11988/625 is not supported. supported framerates r..." the faq at doom covers the "unable to write d2v q56, but simply says to turn off virus checking, it IS off. anyone else ran into the above probs?

Is there any other application i can use that will allow me to easily convert ripped vobs to a (s)vcd format for burning with nero. dvd2svd is a great prog, but ived had a helluva time tryin 2 find aswers to these simpl que and once on thing doesnt work, nothin else will. does anoyone know about these probs thu experience? i've tried dvd2vcd with tmpg first and the same popup messages appeared. what up with that?
thanks for any info or links would be great.
