codec misconfigured

I have a codec AC3 from AVI Xform on GSpot that says it is misconfigured. I have installed a different AC3 filter from here
but the other AC3 message is still there. How can I uninstall the original AC3 I have searched and cannot find it. Because of this my film will not convert as it says audio format unsupported

the first ac3 you installed,was it one that you register the filter?
to remove it you need to unregister it.download this http://www.glasso.dk/ac3.htm extract and double click on the Un registerfilters(the one that aplys).
...but it shouldn't matter which ac3 you install.the app that your useing may not support ac3.if you trying it with virtualdub,use virtualdubmod instead.
