    Hi,

    I am trying to convert DivX avi movies using ac3 codecs as well as other codecs not supported by TMPENC program.
    After installing the codecs I can view it in the mediaplayer in AVI format but converting it to mpeg doesn't work at all for the sound. I get perfect picture but no sound ?!?!

    How to make this work / what other programs are available ?

    you need to DEmux the sound the AVI first...then convert the AC3 to MP2...i receommend using Azid to convert AC3 to wav, then toolame to go from wav to MP2.

    I think TMPG will do it, using the "mpeg tools"->"demultiplex"...I think, I dont know, I dont deal with divx....and may

    I found that if you use nero to encode a Avi to mpeg to make a vcd, it turns out pretty good.
