I was curious to know a little about capturing. I am used to capturing DV via firewire. I do that alot. However, I was looking at doing some home video VHS tapes for several people. I have been looking at getting the ADVC-100 but at the same time, I am pondering purchasing a Sony VX2000 DV Camcorder in the next 6 to 7 months. The Sony Cam has an analog to digital pass through that I could use for DV capturing with my computer. I am curious though, would I receive the same results between the Cam's pass through vs. the ADVC-100? Is one better than the other? I apologize if this is a "newbie capturing" question, but I really haven't been able to find any sources that truly document pass through results, etc. Thanks in advance!
