    Hello--
I have a copy of DVD X Copy and every single time I try to burn a DVD I receive a message telling me there is an excellent chance the DVD will not play correctly, I still try to proceed to burn but immediatly I receive a message telling me error creating image to disc and I cannot burn it. This happens every single time, and I am able to burn the same movie using XCopy Express, but I want to keep menus and all that. Any thoughts/comments?? Please help me out

Okay this is real simple. Do you own your copy of DVD XCopy Express? If so go and download the latest version. The last 2 releases or updates now have the ability to do the whole movie by simply putting an "X" in the box where it say's "Entire Disc". Your other problem I don't have an answer for.

    Try this:

    1. Use DVDXCOPY to rip movie to hard drive (ie, just run it normally).

    2. When DVDXCOPY ask you to burn the 1st DVD, go to the directory where the first half of the movie is saved. Just minimize DVDXCOPY but do NOT EXIT from it. (When DVDXCOPY quits it deletes the directory that has VIDEO_TS.) At this time you may copy the VIDEO_TS directory to another directory to save the results if desired.

    3. Use another burning program (Nero or Prassi) to burn a DVD from the VIDEO_TS folder (I think you will have to create an empty AUDIO_TS folder to put on the disk too) - just drag the folders into your Nero or Prassi window, the program will sort out what to do with them. At least that way you'll find out if the problem is in the extraction or burning part of XCopy.

Hope this is clear enough to be of some help.

  4. I don't know why most people say to minimize DVDXCOPY then copy the directory before quitting, since it will delete the VIDEO_TS directory. For those running XP, NT or even Win98, it's much easier to just go to the "Taks Manager" (crtl-alt delete... ) and then just kill the process. It's always worked ok for me that way.. Just my $.02

It's even easier to just leave it running, drag the VIDEO_TS folder to a different location and then just close XCopy.

  7. Well I guess you can move the folder, but why go thru the hassel of that. Just end the task, but I guess it just boils down to what your comfortable with.. Have fun in any case
