    Hmmm,

Strange Nero error now appears when I try to burn any CD/DVD

Everything runs perfectly, until I try to burn anything using Nero, then it complains the device is in use by something else, and stops the burn process before it has had a chance to start

Reinstalled CD/DVD drivers, as they disappered from my system, BUT, I can use other burning software (CDRWin/CopyToDVD/TMPGenc DVD Author, etc, etc)

Just Nero moans about the device in use

I have a CD writer and a DVD writer, both still function with the other software, nothing on the Nero FAQ aboyt this, so I assume its a nero problem .... again

    Any suggestions will be appreciated

I had this problem for a while but cant quite remeber exactly what I did to cure it. I think it has something to do with stopping Windows Media Player from running. The error was "Imapi engine in use by another program" or something like that. I think there is a guide on Neros web site in the FAQs for stopping WMP from running. Sorry cant be of more help but it was quite a while ago I got this error.

  3. Go into your task manager and turn off the "imapi.exe." Nero should run fine after turning this process off.

  5. Hi,

I tend to run into a similar problem if I insert a CD-RW into the drive before starting up Nero Burning Rom. This rewritable then gets picked up by Nero InCD, and I firs have to eject the CD before being able to start Neron Burning Rom.
