Has anyone experimented with removing this file? Does just the name 'archive.txt' have to be there or must the file have something in it?
I understand that other burning software doesn't require this file at all ( naturally) but how do we use the DVD X Copy without it?
I was hoping someone had a patch for this so it isn't needed at all.
Thanks again.

Doesn't that file just tell dvdxcopy that the dvd is a copy made by dvdxcopy so that it won't copy a copy? You can either delete the file before dvdxcopy burns it or if you're going to make a copy of a copy then you don't even need to use dvdxcopy, just rip it/copy it to your hard drive and burn it or disc-to-disc burn as the copy protection will have been removed already.

Hi Yall,
I get this msg. before DXCX starts ripping the movie to my HDD.
What can I do to still get the rip on my HDD without this Archive.txt?
DVD Shrink also does not let me rip it to my HDD, half way trough the process I get an error.Greets, Mysterio
