Hi
I have 2 files mpeg2 with ac3. I want to be able to join them toghether and keep the ac3 sound intact its a dolby 5.1 soundtract. I know tmpeg can join 2 mpeg2 files but will it keep the sound as the way it is.

Are you joining them in prep for the authoring process? If so, you could use a program like DVD-Lab and let it join everything together in the authoring process, so you don't have to worry about merging them together.
I'm pretty sure that TMPGEN can merge the 2 files together, might have an issue with the AC3. Then again the issue might only be with encoding steps, not merging. -
The authoring program would need to support AC3. Ulead DVD Workshop w/AC3 would do the job.
Many authoring programs don't support ac3. Of course DVD Lab does.
