  1. Hi
I have 2 files mpeg2 with ac3. I want to be able to join them toghether and keep the ac3 sound intact its a dolby 5.1 soundtract. I know tmpeg can join 2 mpeg2 files but will it keep the sound as the way it is.

  2. Are you joining them in prep for the authoring process? If so, you could use a program like DVD-Lab and let it join everything together in the authoring process, so you don't have to worry about merging them together.

I'm pretty sure that TMPGEN can merge the 2 files together, might have an issue with the AC3. Then again the issue might only be with encoding steps, not merging.

The authoring program would need to support AC3. Ulead DVD Workshop w/AC3 would do the job.

Many authoring programs don't support ac3. Of course DVD Lab does.
