  1. Thanks for looking in and I shall try to explain this as best as I can,

    Using Studio 7

to capture from Canon DV Camcorder

completed edit of project and moved on to convert to a DVD standard

Creating an MEG 2 file using it's own DVD required settings of Studio 7 (which also gives you set settings for vcd svcd etc.
which is pretty straight forward so far with no problems.

So back to how i do this from the beginning Capture from DV camcorder source perfect and clear. (Not the problem)
The play back within studio is O.K but when converted to an mpeg file which is then to be used in Spruce for authoring ready for DVD it is not as good a quality which l can accept at that stage, what the main problem is that when I have burned onto a dvd disc for playback in standalone the picture is perfect (when still) but on any movement it jerks the frames i have tryed everthing i know completely stuck on this it is perfect apart from this problem which just makes it un-watchable any advise would be much appreciated,

    Kath

  2. Sounds like the field order is out of wack. I think with the DV_AVI, bottom frame first is the way to go. Check in the encoding options in Studio7 and see if it will let you change the field order. If so, switch it to the opposite of what it is now, re-encode and check in a software DVD player or burn to a re-writable and play on your stand alone(if it plays RW).

What else you might want to do is get another encoding program(TMPGENc for example) and re-encode and see if that makes a difference. I think that field order is what is causing you issues here.
