  1. I tried capturing 720x480 AVI files using iuVCR with the intention of converting them to MPEG-2 using TMPGEnc Plus and burning them on DVD. I captured a 30 second clip and noticed distortion lines when there would be a moderate amount of movement. Is there a setting that can fix this? Also, does iuVCR have a setting to keep the audio and video in sync?

    Thanks,
    Joe

What you are seeing is the interlacing of the video. The captured video is made up of intelaced frames (two frames to make one picture) and when there is motion, one frame will skew from the other. That is because you are watching on a computer monitor which is not interlaced.

Convert it to MPEG, try it in a TV and you should be okay. If not, one of two things has occured.

Either the field order has gotten messed up or an edit has skewed the fields. I dont think so though, so try the top idea and you will see all will be okay.
