I have never been happy with TMPGenc's audio. So I have been on the look for a fix. I discovered tooLAME but can't get TMPGenc to accept it. I get this message "tooLAME.exe can't be used as external encoder" Can I get some help on the settings needed.
Thanks in advance,
JellyMan

Open TMPGenc, click on Option, Environmental Setting, Enternal Tool Tab. Click on Layer 2 and Browse to find Toolame.exe. When you encode your next file TMPGEnc will call toolame.

I tried that and it still gave me the same message. Do I need another version of tooLAME or TMPGEnc or am I just doing something wrong?

The version of tooLAME here: -
http://www.flexion.org/audio/toolame/
works for me.
If this is the version you are trying to use it may be a TMPGEnc version issue. What one do you use ?

Downloaded TMPGEnc v.2.00 tooLAME worked with this version and audio is much improved. thanks for the help.
