Ever since upgrading my computers at home with new hardware and then reinstalling EOVideo and TMPGEnc 2.5, I can no longer convert rmvb to mpeg2. When I try to load the rmvb file in the wizard in TMPGEnc, it just hangs and I have to close the program because it becomes unresponsive. I have tried this on my other home PCs and their results are somewhat different. One of them, no matter how many times I try to load it, it just says the file cannot be supported. My oldest PC which I used to use all the time for conversion, it will sometimes load the video and allow me to convert, freeze the program, or say the video is not supported...random luck of the draw with that one.

Is there something I am missing that is causing these problems? I have all the proper codecs (k-lite/realalternative), but it's really irritating me because with my newest Core2Duo system, I can't convert anything at all using TMPG and that was the primary reason I built this system in the first place.

k-lite is just as likely to break your video as it is to fix anything. I wouldn't use codec packs at all.

If you haven't already, read through this and make sure you have everything set up correctly.
