  1. Using VirtualDub:
Is there a way to edit an avi file after capturing it and then save the edited version WITHOUT re-encoding it into another type (xvid, divx, etc)? I'd like to cut commercials out of some things that I captured but I'd like to be able to do it before deciding how I want to encode the file. Thanks for the help guys.

  2. Yes set the mode to direct stream copy in Vdub and it will not re encode.

  3. Thanks for the help Junkee. Sorry about the triple post--I wasn't sure which forum I should make my other post in and I got carried away. Thanks again.
