    Hello,

    I am converting DV material and byte for byte WMV from Movie Maker 2 turns out much better than anything I can produce from other conversion software (using guides) e.g. Tmpgenc, VirtualDub, Premiere etc. How can this be?

    Doh, maybe it's because WMV automatically deinterlaces before compressing it, when I used the deinterlace filter in virtualdub it looked much better But should I keep it interlaced if I want to convert it to .m2v for DVD productions?
