  1. Hey, Im having a bit of trouble.. im tring to encode a mpeg file, and i open the video file up in tmpgenc... and the only options I get is to encode a VCD, SVCD, or DVD.. there is not regular standard mpeg1 type of option.. Im tring to compress it for my personal use, and vcd, svcd, and dvd all have non-optionable ways of conversion.. so you cant change the frame rate, quality, etc.

I have also tried to open it in flask mpeg.. but still no options to encode a regular ol' mpeg file.. so please, if anyone knows what could be wrong, please reply with your input.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Before you start encoding, click on the "open" button in the bottom right-hand corner of the TMNPGEnc screen. Browse to the same directory where you installed TMPGEnc and load up a profile called "unlock" (it may be in a folder called "extra"). This will unlock the pre-defined profile settings, so you go into them and change/play around with the settings to your heart's content!

    Cheers,

    B.
