  1. Hi,

I know this topic has been discussed often here and there, but I still didn't find any solution.
As a reminder, here is the problem : when capturing a video file (whatever format) with ATI AIW 128 Pro and SBLive 1024, the final file is ok for video, but sound is full of cracks. In fact, these cracks and pops seem to follow the sound. I mean, if there is silence, no pops, but when somebody speaks for example, the pops seem to 'accompany' the syllabs of the speech (don't know if it's clear but those who have the same problem will understand).
My Mobo is Asus with VIA Apollo 133 chipset, and the stuff is running under Win2K professional, service pack 1.

Can someone here tell me what to try about this problem ? I would appreciate a summary of some possible attempts at fixing this annoying bug that prevents me from producing good SVCDs.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Waldok

  2. Yes, I had the very same problem. It's the SB Live card that's your problem. Trash it and buy something halfway decent! Even an old ISA card will do.
