Does anyone know how I can rip digital audio from a dvd!![]()
I'm trying to create a VCD from home video I've captured on my DV camcorder and I want to add background music. The music I want is on a DVD disc. I've got a Sony DVP-NS7000V DVD player, and I can connect this to my PC sound card using a coaxial digital lead. No problem, until I play the disc and get a message 'S/PDIF Copy Protected'. What's all this about? And how do I get around it?

Look for a program called EasyVCD. It has several output options, one of them being the ability to extract a separate mpeg and wave file.

You can rip an audio track directly off a DVD using Smartripper or DVDecrypter. It will come off in digital form, naturally.
