  1. Hi there,

I have a PAL JVC Camcorder and am hooking it up to an NTSC TV. Whenever I playback, it comes out in black and white. Any ideas of how to get around this?

    Thanks

No problem. You have to open up you TV and move the Color sub carrier frequency. Do you have the schematics of your TV? You going to have to order a part probably, but you might be able to re-program the PIC. On a side note, if you are going to deal with RF, most PAL channels have a 6 Mhz audio subcarrier instead of the 4.5 Mhz in the US.

You can't do it, that's why there are dual PAL/NTSC TV's avaialble.

Trade the TV in for a multisystem, or the camera in for an NTSC model. You may also put the video into a computer, convert it to NTSC, put it into an (S)VCD or DVD disk and play it on a compatible DVD player. Other than that, there is no way I know of to make a PAL camcorder video play on an NTSC TV.
    Hello.
