joining svcd together

i have a film on 2 svcds and i wish to join together then burn onto 1 dvd-r can anybody help me.

This is the way i would do it

use tmpgenc to join mpg files (mpeg tools join/cut put the files in the right order)
svcd2dvdmpg to convert to mpa/mpv. rename *.mpv *.m2v
