  1. Is there a special trick to frameserving to CCE SP 264? I can use VD and AVIsynth to frameserve to CCE Basic but the .AVS and .VDR are not valid extensions in CCE SP. When i try all files i get an open error. I'm using VD 1.5 and Avisynth 2.0.8.

  2. Try CCE 2.50 or 2.66. Most builds of 2.64 don't read AVS/VDR files.

    You could create an AVI from the AVS or VDR using VFAPIConv.

    I use the same versions of CCE, VD and AVS as you and it works fine.

    You can download the software here

    Note: I do find that AVISynth scripts work better if you insert a
    Code:
    converttoyuy2()
    before any resizing - I found multipass encodes hanging quite frequently without it.

  4. Mr Grumpy; Thanks for the nfo, nice to know it can be done. I had already D/Led VFAPIConv 1.05 but it seems to like only TMPG project files. So how do you get VFAPIConv to recognize the .AVS.

  5. If you're using avisynth 2.5, you MUST add a ConvertToYUY2 - CCE cannot handle YV12, which is what AVISynth normally uses......

    I've found that CCE 2.64.01.07 under Windows XP accepts AVS files with no problem.

    However, you can also use the freeware ffvfw to wrap an AVS file as an AVI file that CCE will normally accept - ffvfw is probably available through the Tools link at the left, or over at doom9.net.

    Erm, dunno - mine just does. When I click on the Add Job button, the dialog defaults to AVS, D2V, VDR and TPR I'm running v1.04Beta of VFAPI

  7. Thanks everyone for your help. I found an AVI wrapper, LINK2, on Doom9
    that appears to work. It is $15 shareware.
