  1. i dont know where to find out about this so im asking you guys.
    one of the features i like most about dvds are the extra scenes and all the other extras dvds offere -- question is do vcd copies of dvd retain this extra stuff or is it just a copy of the movie

    Movie only. Most of the features are also video files on the disk you could rip too if you took the time to figure out which VOB has which videos, maybe.

  3. When smart ripper does the scan to rip the vob's for the movie, it chooses the largest sized vob's. Just go into the smaller sized ones, and you will either get alternate frames, or some special features.

    It depends on how much effort you want to put into it.

    VCDs won't support seamless branching or multi-angles, but in terms of menus, trailers, delected scenes, biography, etc., these can all be put onto a S/VCD.

    SVCDs further support multiple languages (2) and removable subtitles (4, but no well supported in hardware).
