  1. I am failing when trying to put multiple MPEG files on one DVD

I'm using Sonic MyDVD and Dell Movie Studio Plus for authoring. I have encoded the files with TMPGEnc in a manner that they should fit on one DVD (all together less than 4.3 GB). However Movie Studio tells me after the first file that it will be 6GB (??? why??), and MyDVD fails after the second of 3 movies telling me that it doesn't fit on one DVD.

IFOEdit generally would work, but there I do not get a proper menu, and I have to use the Roxy Easy CD Creator Burning software which seems to be unable to burn DVD with videos that can be played on standalone players.

Do you have any good ideas?

How much of your mpeg file is video and how much is audio?MyDVD converts any audio to PCM, thus blowing up the audio from mere 120MByte (mp2 for 120 min video) to 1.2GB.

  3. Which resolution are accepted from your authoring-progs?
I.e. Sonic Foundry's DVD Architect only accepts 720x576(PAL) or 720x480(NTSC). All other resolutions are re-rendered and therefore the filesize will grow up.
To avoid such re-rendering I use DVD Patcher to change the resolution to one of the accepted, do all authoring and patch the .vob-files back to the original resolution before burning and: IT WORKS PERFECT!
