So correct me if I'm wrong, $499 + $29.95 is much less than $999
I was just saying the other day, when Adobe released their PC only product, I'll bet Apple cuts the price on DVD Studio Pro....... I love it :P

One thousand dollars was an insane pricepoint to begin with. Same thing with iLife. Apple sold me a copy of iLife for $19.95, without having first purchased iDVD. A few days after I bought it, they sent me an e-mail saying I could get Keynote for $9.99 if I was affiliated with an educational institution.

Is there a DTS encoder available for the Mac?

  7. Don't think so - unless one of the terminal based mux apps will accept a DTS stream - anyone ?

one problem.. i know everyone is looking forward to compressor, but if you look closely it DOESN'T encode mpeg-2->mpeg-2, so i wouldnt say its EXACTLY what everyone has been waiting for.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

True, sadly. In fact mpeg2 doesn't seem to be an input option at all.
