  1. After I have encoded a Quicktime file into VCD format the program does not respond and I have to end the program and start over again. The conversion is completed but I have to restart TMPGEnc after each file. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Probably the 99% error, have a look in these messages for it

  3. It's not the 99% error(at least I don't think it is), it actually says 100% completed and does make a finished MPEG1, but the program freezes after that.

    Thanks

  4. Why dont you first try converting the .mov to .avi with RAD VIDEO TOOLS?

Then try to make the mpeg.

  5. I actually originally did make the MOVs into AVIs with Movieshaker and then used DVGate to encode the MPEG1 and MPEG2 files, but the DVGate encoding gave feedback at the end of the file and I didn't realize this until I encoded 200+ files this way so I would like to use TMPGEnc to cut out the lengthy process of encoding an AVI. Good idea, although I'd rather just fix this slight set back of the current program (TMPGEnc)

    Then its the 99.999% error

Have you tried loading the AVI into Vdub and chop a little off the end using "keyframes" I'm thinking that the audio and video are different lengths. The 99% error locks up TMPGEnc on movies like that, maybe your 100% is displayed a second before it actually finishes.

Use MOV2AVI.EXE, then use the *.avi file as video input in the TMPGEncoder and the *.mov file as audio input. This works without failure for me.
