I've got some video that has been captured from DV to a Mac (in Quicktime, Apple DV) for using in FCP... however I need to use it on a PC and don't have access to a Mac
I've tried searching about, but can't find a method that works... I'm using XP Pro, but can use a linux distro of any assorted live flavour.
Cheers!

So it exists as a file on the Mac? If so, it may be in Quicktime form and to use it on a PC your would just have to give it the .mov extension. That's just a guess though - never worked with FCP, I just know it likes to create Quicktime (MOV) files that have no extension when transferred to a PC.

In addition to the important abovementioned fileextension info...
Macs do sometimes still use resource forks and one can make a QT movie that isn't "flattened" (aka all data in data fork only), so those would pose major problems for any PC that doesn't have a Mac Filesystem device driver or doesn't use ISOBuster on Mac CD/DVD media. Make sure it's flattened before porting to PCs.
