I have a Sony DW-10A which is the OEM version of the DRU500.
The BIOS reports 1.1a firmware, which I thought might be a later version than the 0.1g.
After a bit of research, I found that the OEM firmware versions were different, and that the 1.1c is supposed to be the same as 1.1c.
I tried the upgrade, and the first bit was fine, and a the burner was recegnized, and I was prompted to reboot. On the second stage, the upgrade software reported that it could not update the firmware.
After several tries, it still would not update.
After powering the system down, the OS does not recognize the drive. Although the BIOS still recognizes it with 1.1a firmware.
Is there any way to recover this?
